2017 Open Enrollment is CLOSED. Employees who enrolled or were defaulted in a health plan during the recent Open Enrollment period will remain in the enrolled/defaulted plan for the plan year that starts July 1, 2017 and runs through June 30, 2018. Employees are NOT PERMITTED to make changes, unless they experience a qualifying event (i.e., birth, death, marriage, divorce, etc.) during the plan year.
SBO sent multiple communications (i.e., print, email and online video) to employees prior to, during and after Open Enrollment. These communications highlighted the changes to the CDH and HMO plans, the action steps needed to enroll or make changes to benefit elections (as indicated in the Enrollment Action Checklist) as well as the importance of employees checking their Benefits Summary in Employee Self-Service to ensure there were no errors.
It is the responsibility of employees to read all information received by the Statewide Benefits Office (SBO) and their organization's HR/Benefit Office to ensure they are aware of important benefits information and any necessary action steps.
