HOW DO I?

- Q. How do I enroll in the Flexible Spending Account (FSA) program?
A. The Flexible Spending Account (FSA) program provides eligible employees with the opportunity to save money on out-of-pocket health and dependent care expenses. Employees must enroll or re-enroll each year to participate in this calendar year program. Prior to enrollment, employees should estimate the amount of expenses they expect to incur during a calendar year. The employee’s salary remains the same; however, his or her taxable salary is reduced. Depending on the employee’s tax bracket, up to one-third or more on out-of-pocket costs for health care or dependent care costs may be saved. Participants of this popular benefit program will be reimbursed for services after that service is incurred by submitting a receipt and claim form to the State of Delaware’s Third Party Administrator, ASI. Qualifying claims are processed within one business day and funds may be available to the employee, via direct deposit to the employee’s banking institution, the next day. Employees not using direct deposit will receive their reimbursements via check. Additional information can be found on our website.
